New effort draws bench, bedside closer together
A new educational effort at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in conjunction with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, will bolster efforts to bring basic scientists together with medical clinicians, bridging gaps in culture and training, to address some of medicine's biggest challenges.

BioVU DNA Databank now includes pediatric samples

BioVU has been in place for approximately two years and is an exceptional research resource. Beginning in Fall 2009, the sample collection was broadened to include children. About 15,000 pediatric samples will be added to the databank each year to complement the accrual of 50,000 adult samples per year.
