Young receives Robert B. Mellins, M.D. Outstanding Achievement Award

Lisa R. Young MDLisa R. Young, M.D., associate professor of Pediatrics, medicine, and cell biology, has been honored by the American Thoracic Society Assembly on Pediatrics with the Robert B. Mellins, M.D. Outstanding Achievement Award for accomplishments in scholarship or research.

The award is given to a candidate at the instructor, assistant professor, or early associate professor level for contributions to child lung health. The award is named for ATS past president Robert B. Mellins, M.D., who was an early advocate for multi-disciplinary training and a pioneer in the field of pediatric pulmonology.
