Psoriatic arthritis
Systemic lupus erythematosis
Juvenile dermatomyositis

Periodic fever syndromes.

Our esteemed faculty members are board-certified in both pediatrics and rheumatology. Research interests include juvenile fibromyalgia and idiopathic musculoskeletal pain as well as participating in a periodic fever aphthous stomatitis pharyngitis adenitis (PFAPA) registry, which will include a genome-wide association study. We are working closely with the Division of Nephrology on a multidisciplinary lupus clinic, and developing a complex juvenile idiopathic arthritis follow-up clinic with an emphasis on teaching. Several members of our staff belong to the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA). We are also a participating center for ARCHIVE, A Registry for Children with Vasculitis.

Mission:

  • To foster academic growth in faculty and fellows
  • To establish leading-edge research aimed at all aspects of rheumatologic disease

Research

Pediatric Rheumatology is a member of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA).  The division is actively collaborating with the Division of Adolescent Medicine to investigate etiologic factors in juvenile fibromyalgia.  MR imaging in juvenile idiopathic arthritis is another area of potential research in the future.
