The Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is Tennessee's only Comprehensive Cancer Center designated by the National Cancer Institute and is one of only 41 nationwide. This designation, the highest ranking awarded to cancer centers, recognizes research excellence in cancer causes, development, treatment and prevention as well as a demonstrated commitment to community education and outreach. With nearly 300 investigators in seven research programs and more than $150 million in annual research funding, the center  not only provides the most sophisticated cancer care available but is at the forefront of developing new and promising therapies.
