Cooper presented with Chancellorís Award for Research

William Cooper, M.D., MPH, professor of Pediatrics and Preventative Medicine, and the vice chair for Faculty Affairs, was presented with one of five Chancellor’s Awards for Research at the 2012 Fall Faculty Assembly. Cooper, who is also the director of the Vanderbilt Master’s of Public Health program, was recognized for his important contributions to the health and welfare of children. He received a $1,000 stipend and an engraved julep cup at the event on Aug. 23.
The Chancellor’s Awards for Research recognize Vanderbilt faculty who achieve excellence in research, scholarship, or creative expression. The awards acknowledge a single publication or creative presentation or thematically related works presented or published within the last three years.
