Jeff Neul Awarded Endowed Chair

Eleven Vanderbilt University faculty members were named to endowed chairs Oct. 23, 2017 during a festive celebration at the Student Life Center. Jeffrey L. Neul, M.D., Ph.D., was awarded the Annette Schaffer Eskind Chair.
Jeff is the director of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and professor of Pediatrics in the division of Neurology and Pharmacology. He is an internationally recognized expert in genetic neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically Rett syndrome. He conducts clinical research and clinical trials on Rett syndrome, genetic research to identify other genetic causes of neurodevelopmental disorders, and translational research using disorder models to identify and test novel treatment modalities for these disorders.
