The Pediatric Emergency Department provides emergency care to children under the age of 18 years. Services range from care of minor emergencies to life threatening conditions. Family centered care is the philosophy and foundation of our health care delivery and practice.

Parents or legal guardians are involved in the entire process of care; triage, medical screening, treatment, and discharge planning. Nurses, physicians, child life specialists, medical receptionists, care partners, and other members of the multidisciplinary team work together to support the physical and emotional needs of the child's family.
